The Probate Podcast Amplifies Its Impact in Houston with New Services

New Milestones Enable Willow Wood Solutions to help more people

By Sherri Lund

Exciting news alert!

There’s a new milestone in The Probate Podcast's journey, and I am excited about its impact on families in the Greater Houston area. The Probate Podcast is a platform dedicated to providing resources and education about senior care, property and estate issues, and how to manage senior transitions with grace and understanding.

People often talk about how difficult this transitional season is and the mistakes they made because they didn't know what they were doing. I designed the podcast with this in mind.

Comments I hear when people learn about The Probate Podcast:

  • Man, I wish I had known about this podcast sooner!

  • Where were you when I needed to find assisted living for Mom and Dad?

  • Asks while laughing nervously: I should probably know something about probate, right?

Read below to find the answers to these questions, and then some!

Finding the right assisted living or memory care home can be unsettling. A senior placement agent can make things easier for the family.

Who is the podcast for?

The Probate Podcast helps families transition as Mom and Dad age.

One goal of The Probate Podcast is to foster hope. We want to merge knowledge with compassion and find answers to every question. The mission is to provide valuable insights, expert advice, and heartfelt discussions that empower families to navigate this season as they search for the right care for their loved one, figure out how to pay for long-term care, and plan so the probate process can go smoothly.

The Probate Podcast inspires hope.

The Probate Podcast is about being practical and efficient, but that’s not all. We're also here to support the people in this season. We celebrate stories of resilience, share success stories, and honor those who serve for the good of others.

That's why I am excited to share these two milestones! To someone else, they may seem minor. But I'm all about celebrating the wins because these new additions will enable more people to discover the podcast, take advantage of the goodness that's there, and find the help they need.

What Topics Are Covered in The Probate Podcast?

Each episode of the podcast has a balanced mix of humor and practicality. We pull back the curtain to discuss and demystify the hard topics that surface as Mom and Dad get older. For instance, we talk about what an Executor does, the difficulties adult caregivers face when their loved one has dementia, and how to deal with a hoarder situation.

Education is empowering, and I aim to inspire families with each episode of The Probate Podcast so they can plan for the future and feel confident in taking their next step.

I want to offer the most up-to-date and relevant information that adult children and caregivers need so I seek out qualified professionals to be my guests. We cover critical topics that include:

  • What should I look for in a memory care home for my Mom or Dad?

  • Can I qualify for Veterans benefits?

  • What do I need to know about Medicare coverage?

  • Where do I begin when downsizing my Mom’s house full of stuff?

My guests include senior placement advisors, organizers, healthcare providers, and estate planning attorneys. We also have individuals who speak about their experience as executors and caregivers. Together, we explore the challenges and joys that come with a loved one's aging story. And we are reminded that we aren't alone on this journey.

Now The Probate Podcast has more reach

These new milestones allow us to connect with more people and deliver timely and relevant information for the challenges they face.

The Probate Podcast is now available on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube.

The first milestone is that both Spotify and Apple podcasts finally approved us! They are the top two places where people listen to podcasts. Our presence on these platforms will open doors and expand our reach into more households.

Find the YouTube video podcast here.

The Probate Podcast has its own Facebook page.

The second milestone is that The Probate Podcast now has its own home on Facebook. For the past year, it lived in the shadow of its sponsor, Willow Wood Solutions. Now, there is a place where people can find episodes and share feedback.

These new avenues allow us to help more people as they find the podcast, discover solutions to their problems, and meet experts in the field.

I am so grateful for those who support me and this podcast. Their encouragement means the world.

New episodes of The Probate Podcast are released each Thursday at 3 pm Central. You can find the YouTube video podcast here: https://www.youtube.com/@probatepodcast. We are also on Spotify and Apple podcasts. Tune in for this week's episode, and while you're there, please Like and Subscribe. Your support helps others find The Probate Podcast when they need it.
